everyone has their own sound*

i want to shatter something. throw it across the room and hear it break. but then i want to dance in a greengreen garden dusted with sparkly things that the sun hits perfectly. and to feel like everything is happening in slow motion.
today's song obsession: let it out now by leeland. currently addicted to calla. the day was filled with: new old bedrooms. writing loveletters. us, just being.together in the best way. longing for: new places. beautiful snow with miss adachi. and our long awaited skype-date.
You ride away
as though it's
already behind you
Lost to marvelous things
discarded
for me to gather
all the broken
skeleton leaves
and torn dragonfly wings
tied together
like soft whispers
shhhhh...
don't let them touch
can't let them see
drowning now
like butterflies
in a honey sea.
reading justagirl. makes me go "awww". and makes me love you even more. and. it makes me realise that maybe (just maybe) i should ease up, bc shame you really like him.
"I love you, more than blurs on my eyelashes (tinted with eventide) and the summer sunset at twilight and bird faces on the moon. (Your ladder to the stars)"
my world hurts when youre not in it. and that seems like all the time these days...

lightbeams.letters.hearts*

You built a castle out of this feeble heart, and left it empty, buried in the wilderness of nevergreen. Want to collapse, and I can't. Wish feverously for warm hands I can't even invent, misfit verses (meant to live in solitude), wounds. Undress me of absence and sleep, sleep, sleep. I'll be made of birds.

[there's too much light, and too much noise in this world. too much]
two incredible migranes in one day. too much icecream this weekend. two romantic cds from leighleigh. too little sleep this week. too much gratitude in my heart to express in words.

or just a dream..*

"it's about the certainty
of being one or the other,
i think.
a way of being
so unfamiliar and intriguing to one
whose multifaceted interior
is inclined to see every angle simultaneously.
where lines are rarely so defined.
a world where i am the colour of cherries.
i am the slate grey electric sky.
i multiply.
i believe in people.
and you might be all the proof i need.. "
"she isn't supposed to feel this way; like every thought is a secret. her dreams bleed, one into another. each burns more than the last. strangers walk past and their innocent smiles stain her heart."
"sometimes i think the human heart is just a simple shelf. there's only so much you can pile onto it before something falls off an edge and you are left to pick up the pieces."
..im going to go stare up at the sky for a while. and then spend the night reading.
"i never trust a dog to watch my food. and i like to use the word dude as a noun, or an adverb or an adjective. and i, ive never really been into cars. i like really cool guitars. and super heroes, and cheques with lots of zeros on them. i love the sound of violins, and making someone smile"

tears at seventhirty*

dream places,
like all fragile things,
are always best
in winter

when the sun is low
and shadows long.

when shallow breaths
taste the chill air
laced with cinnamon
and fire

and delicately

is the only way
to hold anything.

like old china tea cups
and christmas tree baubles.
(the painted glass kind.)

and hearts
of course.
hearbreaking moment at thesoupkitchen this evening. actually, i take that back. it was heartwarming. inspiring, even. aaand i baked delicious scones.-turns out there's hope yet. having the weirdest moment looking back to how this day started.and transformed into joy. feels like it may be ending the same way though. aaaaand now. i must go wash my hair (ughhhh..) no more avoiding it. we were like sisters. but haven't seen her in... forever. nine am: reunite. i have to be in a z-card shoot to save her education.

i see through it now*

the piano whispers
her deepest truest wish
floating her hopes through the air i breathe
gently falling upon my tiny bruised heart
are the secrets she
dares to set alight

[images via sequinmagazine/herecomesthesun/weliveyoung]
seriously considering just not going to bed. i have to be awake again in less than three hours. my electricblanket (oh, how i love my electricblanket) is all warm and waiting for me, though. it's just.. so lovely here. blogging. listening to taylorswift. sending colourful emails filled with my every thought. loving: the 'a wedding in the woods' shoot. the idea of being inlove is something ive always believed in. i believe that perfect moments happen. i believe there's one person meant to make your heart sparkle. and i believe that someday, when our hearts are complete enough on their own, he and i will be madly inlove. and we will venture out into the world. being us. creating what will be ours. together. and i believe that love, true love, lasts forever.

and you wont tell me*

my secrets pierce your soul
the bloodred you see in my darkness
is the sweet dream of her world
'lock my heart up and throw away the key'
you told the past
but your eyes scream the truth
in a language my heart wont speak.

truth is strategic insight*

"Star-threaded bedsheets, murmurs behind the windowpane, clock-shaped fears.
I was never mine.

Time forgets easily about us, you should know.
Forgets to wipe the dust off toys and portraits nobody loves anymore.
Time forgets to place mailboxes on graves too. How very forgetful of him.

Ink-dipping nibs, fingers, eyelashes; everything, so it might turn to words, soon.
They'll glide, swans on the stillness of a lake (a midnight-sky; a heart; a death).
You must come and help slow down the thunderstorm; paper burns and melts, and what will be of me? Oh, how I'd love you if you came."
-restlesshearts
"Cemeteries in Bohemia are like gardens. The graves are covered with grass and colourful flowers. Modest tombstones are lost in the greenery. When the sun goes down, the cemetery sparkles with tiny candles. It looks as though the dead are dancing at a children's ball. Yes, a children's ball, because the dead are as innocent as children. No matter how brutal life becomes, peace always reigns in the cemetery. Even in wartime, in Hitler's time, in Stalin's time, through all occupations.
When she felt low, she would get into the car, leave Prague for behind, and walk through one or another of the country cemeteries she loved so well. Against a backdrop of blue hills, they were as beautiful as a lullaby." -theunbearablelightnessofbeing
jessicasmith, youll be proud. -ive finally begun stalking collegeboard in an attempt to find the perfect college for me.

with her once..*

you paint me red
with your bristles
and tickly stanza's
of old keys
and doors that
could love them

you print me
on blank paper
now i'm bigger than me
bigger like you

tuck me in the cream
pages of your book
and carry me
and I'll be so pleased

bursting inside
like tiny starry fireworks

that will never
be swallowed into
empty space
or open sea
-starflowerandindigo

love is written on her sleeves*

Journalist write to be objective and accurately depict a situation
or circumstance.

I am not a journalist.

I am a nomad.

I am a jingling gypsy
with bangles far up each
arm.

I am a poet.

I am a humanitarian and I am handing you
my heart.

Here she is,
she's yours.

-kristencamden via nomadic,no wonder why

[three poems i've read i actually love. this is one]
india-stalking. obsessively using trackchanges. laddered my navytights while opening the office window. today is a day for black rooibos and mutemath. a day to listen to your whispered thoughts. a day for petals to fall from the sky. and my dreams to be the colour of sunsets.
embrace it. indulge in it. appreciate it*

you're all that it takes*

i have so much respect for portugal right now. wow. i wish i could use more words but i have to go run around in the street and be excited. wow. and mr commentator, your facts seem to be incorrect. biggest ever worldcup win: germany 11-0 saudi arabia.
songs of the morning: the sound of white. half life. meet virginia. the best damn thing. another day. "and if you're listening i miss you. and if you hear me now i need you"
[images above: driving home lastnight] [yesterday's jcrew shirtdress. vintage belt. locket.]
[delicious cranberryjuice in a can]

"Beautiful creature, why must you taunt me?
Why must you taunt me, and haunt me, and hurt me?
Your power, your strength, your beauty; you.
I think of no one else, though you don’t even expect it...
Beautiful creature, you are an illusion.
You do not exist!
You are simply a shell for my fantasies; a creation.
I am the one that made you real, and now you’ve consumed me completely.
You are a beautiful-beautiful creature
and you know not of all these emotions stirring inside me." -frail beauty.
but you are. and you do.

superficial lines explain it all*

yesterday i went for a lovely walk through town with danna. we sat in the gardens, came into close contact with squirrels and spoke about.. life. about decisions and applications and boys and fashion (duh) and poetry and inspiration :) it was an enriching day for me. and i found photos which remind me of 'the secret garden' which i loved when i was younger. i wonder if i still would today.. i am currently reading a book called 'stories we could tell'. it's quite cool. today, i wore pearls. and lace. leather. leggings. lipstick. and i thought i had made a decision, but i guess i hadn't. and then things got personal. and now i feel drained. *sigh* yesterday feels forever away.
to end, i quote rumi (thanks danna). if. the start and the finish.
"you are that blessed soul who
belongs to the garden of paradise
is it fair to let yourself
fall apart in a shattered house

you are the bird of happiness
in the magic of existence
what a pity when you let
yourself be chained and caged

but if you can break free
from this dark prison named body
soon you will see
you are the sage and the fountain of life"

"a rising sun in the night time of our fear"..*

the eighteenth-weekend was wonderful. i took something like eight-hundred photos on saturday. they'll be coming soon to a blog near you. i am extremely exhausted, with much work to complete before morning comes this way. but first, i will make some tea.

currently obsessed with: liquid-liner. strawberry smoothies. synonyms. C's modelling career. finding my turquoise eyeshadow. adam (owl city)'s tweets. child psychology.

i should be working. both T and B have kindly reminded me. but i suddenly feel the urge to write. i blame M. i'm going to take advantage of this moment, so i guess the work will have to wait..and i'm okay with that. what i'm not okay with, however, is the amount of time ster kinekor is making me wait to see 'the last song'. but it's only five months eight days til my nineteenth so i think i can make it through :)

i will dream of velvet dresses. of chimes blowing in the wind. and snowflakes dancing in the air. and i will spend tomorrow reading about princesses.

you may love...
